Join RiE 2026, the 17th International Conference on Robotics in Education

The 17th International Conference on Robotics in Education (RiE 2026) will be held at Ostfalia University of Applied Sciences, Campus Exer 11, in the historic town of Wolfenbüttel, Germany.

RiE brings together academics, researchers, teachers, engineers, and industry experts from around the world to share ideas, exchange experiences, and present innovations in the field of robotics in education.

We warmly invite you to submit and present new trends, practical experiences, innovations, and advances in the area of Robotics in Education.

We are looking forward to receiving your papers and to meeting you personally in April 2026!!

Keynote speaker: Prof. Dr. Martin Korte – TU Braunschweig

[Prof. Dr. Martin Korte photo] Martin Korte, born in 1964, is a professor of neurobiology at the Technical University of Braunschweig. His research focuses on the cellular basis of learning and memory as well as the processes of forgetting. Martin Korte is one of the most cited German neurobiologists, a sought-after expert in the media, and already well known through a series of television appearances. In addition to his work as a scientist, he regularly gives public lectures to school principals, teachers, parents, students, and politicians. His most recent book, published by DVA, is “Frisch im Kopf. Wie wir uns aus der digitalen Reizüberflutung befreien” (Fresh in the Mind: How to Free Ourselves from Digital Stimulus Overload) (2023).

 

Keynote speaker: Silke Schick – Arnulf Betzold GmbH

[Silke Schick photo] Silke Schick is a Digital Media and Solutions Consultant at Arnulf Betzold GmbH, specializing in innovative technologies for education and supporting educational institutions from planning to implementation of digital projects. With 17 years of teaching experience in Germany and abroad, she has also led projects on robotics in primary schools and computational thinking in secondary education for the Ministry of Education at Landesmedienzentrum in Baden-Württemberg. Silke is passionate about creating dynamic and inclusive learning spaces that foster curiosity and growth for every learner.

 

Keynote speaker: Jérôme Laplace- Founder Generation Robots

[Jerome Laplace photo] Laplace began his career as a new-technologies consultant at T-Systems in Paris, supporting major clients such as Bouygues and AXA in their early adoption of web technologies. He later joined NP6 in Bordeaux, where he managed Cdiscount’s IT systems and advanced to Director of Development and Quality Manager, overseeing multi-site technical operations in Bordeaux, Paris and London. In 2008, he founded Génération Robots, which he has led ever since and developed into one of Europe’s leading suppliers of service robots and robotics equipment for research and industry. Under his leadership, the company expanded with a German subsidiary in Berlin and created the GRLab, a robotics engineering office designing autonomous systems for sectors such as aerospace, defense, energy and agriculture. He also founded Humarobotics in 2016, now a major French distributor of collaborative robots, and launched Running Brains Robotics in 2019 with the GR100, an autonomous outdoor inspection robot made in France. Today, Génération Robots, Humarobotics and Running Brains form NGX Robotics, an integrated group founded and led by Jérôme Laplace.
